The Woodlands U is a 501c4 with a vision and passion to educate the residents of The Woodlands Township and the general public on the history and governance of The Woodlands. The Woodlands® U Inc. is not affiliated or associated with Howard Hughes Holdings Inc. or The Woodlands Township.

The Woodlands® U is a Texas non-profit corporation which is not associated or affiliated with The Woodlands Township or Howard Hughes Holdings. The Woodlands® U does not own the trademarked term “The Woodlands” and instead is using “The Woodlands” under a license agreement with The Woodlands Land Development Company, LP, the owner of the trademarked term “The Woodlands”.
